					<description>nice job! i particularly like the little lamb and kitty motifs! :)

i can understand not wanting to try a new technique on a gift project, sometimes best to muck around on a practice piece first to get comfortable with it.</description>

					<description>yup there's basically no point in trying to quilt straight lines without a walking foot, that's exactly the point of it, it works as upper feed dogs so both sides get pulled through.  ;)  i tend to quilt straight lines through all the major seams before i free motion quilt anyway - for stabilizing and that way you can remove some of the pins/ less to get in your way when you are free motioning.
