Found Savvy Seams today as I was surfing the net trying to figure out how to apply single fold bias tape to cover a seam. Cool site - good sewing tips, free patterns, etc. Enjoy!

Also - seems as though I need double fold bias tape to cover a seam. Hmmm… the pattern (circa 1955) calls for single fold. So confused!

Hey Cyndi–the lady at the quilting shop I hit yesterday showed me how to do this, I think. See if this makes sense: start by pinning the raw edge to whatever you’re binding–right sides together. Sew w/ the smallest seam you can manage. Then, press a fold into the tape so that when you fold it over the top of your raw edge, the front and back of your bias tape are even. Then pin & stitch through all the layers at once.

Does that make sense at all? and sorry if this is not even close to what you were asking about :)
